FAQs
Can I still use gasoline in my car?
Yes, with a flip of a switch you can run either gasoline or CNG.
Is CNG safer than LPG?
CNG is lighter than air, so it will rise up and dissipate into the air in the rare event of leaks. Propane will puddle on the ground like gasoline and increase the risk of fire or combustion. LPG is a compressed blend of propane and butane in liquid form, whereas CNG is a compressed form of natural gas that is air soluble.
What does the exhaust contain using CNG?
Exhaust emissions from CNG contain water vapor and a small amount of carbon monoxide. No carbon or other particles are present making CNG emission virtually pollution free.
Can diesel engines be converted to CNG?
Yes, but we are not offering any conversion equipment for diesel at this time.
How safe is a vehicle with a compressed natural gas cylinder full of gas?
Approved CNG cylinders are made of steel, reinforced aluminum, or 100% composite materials. Tests have been made with crash vehicles that have shown little or no damage to the CNG cylinder after the crash even when the vehicle itself has been destroyed.
